For most of the last time I was in New England there was an October Nor'easter that had parked itself off the coast, causing heavy overcast and LOTS of rain.

In spite of that, however, I was totally captivated by New England. And it's not just the beauty of the area, of which this image of the Otter Creek Falls in Vergennes, Vermont, is an example, but in very large part it has to do with the exceptional warmth and friendliness of all the people I've met there.

Being a warm weather person, I don't think I could live in New England during the winters, but I will really try to get back there to visit at any opportunity...during the warm months.
